This is a late Joseon dynasty blue-and-white water dropper, neatly fashioned into a rectangular shape. Each of the four sides is treated like a small canvas, with different motifs painted on the top and the sides. The piece is charming for the simplicity of its form combined with the delicate painting executed within such limited space.

The top depicts a single, stretching plum branch. It captures the linear, rigid nature of plum branches well, while blooming with lovely flowers at the tips. Particularly eye-catching is the variation in the buds; some look ready to burst open, while others remain tightly closed, demonstrating the fine attention to detail that brings to life the sense of a plum branch on the verge of flowering within this small space. Even in the concise brushwork, one can discern the keen observational skills of a well-trained painter.

Each of the four sides features a simplified treasure motif. By combining these geometric patterns—which differ in style from the plum motif on the lid—the composition achieves a harmonious balance with the rectangular form of the vessel.

The porcelain has a clear, bluish hue characteristic of the late Joseon period. Against this, the blue of the cobalt pigment is fresh and vivid, creating a crisp impression with the white-and-blue contrast.

While it possesses the typical form and design of a late Joseon water dropper, the depiction of the plum branch and buds offers much to admire; the more one looks, the more one notices the fine workmanship. It is a piece that combines charm and freshness, as if enjoying a single spray of plum blossoms within a small vessel.

The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or noticeable damage.
