The capacity is about 200ml, which is just over one go (1 go = 1 cup), making this white porcelain sake bottle perfect for an evening drink.

Its adorable shape, plump like mochi rice cake and slightly asymmetrical, is stable enough to hold in one hand and is very easy to hold.

This type of white porcelain is often affectionately known as "katade." This term distinguishes it from the Korean white porcelain fired in the central official kilns. There are many types of katade in the world, but even under the general umbrella, their appearances vary widely, from those with a color that could be called white porcelain to those with a grayish color.

This piece has a good white color, even among katade ware, and the blue of the glaze is clearly visible in places. This type of white katade ware is often seen in sake cups and is quite popular, but it also makes a nice tokkuri. Crazing can be seen everywhere, and it has turned brown with age.

There is a small, old chip about 5mm in size on the outside of the mouth, but otherwise it is in good condition.

Since you're already at it, why not have a custom-made shifuku made from your favorite fabric?
