This is a small but elegant incense container.

This petal-shaped incense container was used as a cosmetic tool.

Many cosmetic tools are small but carefully crafted, and this piece also has a graceful appearance that brings to mind the image of a Koryo noblewoman who would have used it.

Petal-shaped incense containers such as this one were placed in a square box surrounded by a round incense container.

The shape of the box is like a flower, which is also elegant.

However, there are few examples of Goryeo celadon boxes that have been handed down in their entirety, and some boxes and incense containers have been scattered.

The petal-shaped incense container is one of the few remaining examples, and is highly sought after by collectors due to its rarity.

The upper surface is inlaid with lovely flowers and leaves.

The design is skillfully composed of a large flower opening softly in the center, with smaller flowers growing on either side.

The stems and petals are finely crafted in inlaid black-and-white with different colors. The fine workmanship shows that this is Goryeo celadon porcelain of a fine age.

As the period progresses, line carving and other techniques are used more frequently, and the patterns become more cluttered.

There is a small crack on the inside edge. Otherwise in good condition.

Shifuku is a crimson Indian red porcelain.

The floral design drawn with thin and delicate white lines is linked to the design of the incense container.
