We will introduce beautiful Ai-Kakiemon sake cups

The skin is strikingly white, typical of Kakiemon.
On the pure white body of the vessel, an elegant floral pattern is painted in vivid blue.
"Kakiemon" is famous for its colored paintings, but this style of Kakiemon painted only with blue and white porcelain is called Ai-Kakiemon.

The floral patterns decorating the five sides are very gorgeous and look like designs based on the yoraku(瓔珞) pattern.
The careful painting shows that this is a well-made sake cup.

The gorgeous exterior contrasts with the clean, plain interior, with a circular line running around the high base - making full use of the white space, creating a dignified impression.

When viewed from directly above, the vessel looks like a single flower.

This type of vessel shape is called ryoka(稜花).
This refers to a shape in which regular cuts are made in the body of the vessel, and the tip of the rim is sharpened for each petal, giving it the appearance of a flower when viewed from above.

Although the title is "choko" (small sake cup), it can also be used as a teacup or as a side dish.

A gorgeous and elegant sake cup.

The condition is good and it is a recommended item.
