Tea bowl, Buncheong ware

This Buncheong tea bowl has a large distorted shape that gives it a strong presence.

Distortion is said to be one of the characteristics of Joseon Dynasty ceramics, but it is rare to see such a bold shape.

This shape was created by an unexpected accident during firing, but the distortion creates a pleasant curve and a unique shape.

The interior and exterior are finely inlaid with a combination of several patterns, such as almanac and serrated.

The firing condition is very good, and the contrast between the base and the patterns is clear.

Not only the shape, but also the superb design of this piece is remarkable.

This is the only Buncheong bowl with a unique character.

It can be used as a sake vessel as well as a "katakuchi.
It is also good to enjoy tea as a Tea Bowl.

It may be up to the owner to make the best use of this form which is not a simple one, or to kill it.

The cover is made of Chinese cotton.

The stuffing that is placed between the inside of the bowl and the box is also newly made, making it a special tailoring.
