This is a small iron Buddha believed to have been made around the Edo period.

Despite being made of simple material, its warm expression and plump physique are striking, giving it a somewhat endearing presence.

Similar examples are rarely seen in the market, and it has been suggested that it may have been a transformational Buddha attached to the halo of Amitabha Tathagata, but its detailed origins are not clear. However, the charm of this statue lies in its undeniable cuteness that immediately captivates the heart, transcending such uncertainties.

Currently, it is attached to old wood and styled as a hanging Buddha. Because it is a small statue, it can be easily hung on a desk or a corner of a shelf and enjoyed casually in daily life. It is a Buddha that makes one want to quietly contemplate its origins and history.
