Footed dish with chinese character 'Zhài', Blue and white porcelain

Many Footed bowls were made as ritual vessels for offerings, and many have been handed down to the present.

Because the Korean people believed that the same item should never be used twice, a new bowl was made for each ritual.

This piece is a slightly outward-curved dish with the character "祭" (festival) written in the center and a high faceted base.

The octagonal faceted base and the subdued white porcelain and underglaze blue coloring are characteristic of 18th century Joseon ceramics.

This type of dish is recommended for those who enjoy using antiques, as it has a shape that is easy to use in daily life and at an affordable price, yet allows you to fully enjoy the soft atmosphere of Joseon ceramics.

I have dealt with this type of dish many times before, but each time it has left my hands shortly afterwards.

There is a 7mm diameter natural alteration from the kiln process on the leg and a 2cm thin crack on the edge of the back of the dish. About 1/3 of the dish has a light gray color.
