Autumn leaves, chrysanthemums and red berries. Autumn flowers and grasses are well matched by the gentle whiteness of Joseon dynasty white porcelain.
Standing jars from the mid-Joseon dynasty to the 18th century are few in existence and not so easy to find, and their prices are several times higher. This is a jar from the late Joseon Dynasty, which is why we are able to offer it at this price.
Many white porcelain pieces from the late Joseon Dynasty tend towards a bluish or greyish colour and the beauty of white porcelain is lost, but this piece has no such defects and retains good quality.
The curvaceous beauty of this piece is a highlight. There are a few chips on the mouth rim, but this is not something to be concerned about in the Joseon pottery.
This is a large jar with a strong presence and should be placed in the main part of the space to be enjoyed with flowers. When arranging flowers, use a tubular container with water inside.
